We provide professional and confidential counseling services to individuals of all backgrounds. As a private practice owned and operated by a dedicated Professional Therapist, we are committed to helping our clients develop healthy coping mechanisms for daily stressors and effectively manage their mental health and emotional needs. Our Team
April Bell
Founder, Therapist, Consultant & Speaker
April Bell is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), with additional credentials as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS III). She is the founder of Breathe Easy Counseling & Consulting and author of Moving Through Emotions, a journal designed to support emotional exploration through creative expression.
April provides individual and group counseling to pre-teens, teens, and adults. Her work is grounded in the belief that every person carries a story that shapes how they experience themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. She creates a safe, affirming space where those stories can be explored without judgment and where clients can develop greater understanding, healing, and self-compassion.
She supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. April's approach goes beyond simply addressing symptoms, helping clients understand the experiences, emotions, and patterns beneath them while developing practical tools to move forward.
Her professional background spans behavioral health, education, assistive technology, and rehabilitation. These experiences allow April to bring a unique perspective to her work—one that considers the whole person and recognizes that support doesn't always look the same for everyone.
At the heart of April's work is a commitment to empathy, creativity, cultural awareness, and respect for each person's lived experience. Whether through therapy, consultation, speaking, or community work, she strives to create spaces where people can exhale, feel understood, and have room to grow.
Outside of the therapy room, April enjoys spending time with her family, thrifting for unique finds, finding new ways to incorporate movement and creativity into wellness, and creating spaces that feel warm, peaceful, and inviting.
