PLPC Supervision Now Available
Clinical supervision designed to help developing counselors strengthen clinical confidence, professional identity, and sound clinical judgment.
About Supervision
Supervision is more than completing hours toward licensure. It is a space to strengthen your clinical skills, develop your professional identity, work through challenging cases, and build confidence in your decisions as a counselor.
At Breathe Easy Counseling & Consulting, supervision is designed to provide a supportive, collaborative, and clinically focused environment where Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs) can learn, ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and continue developing their own counseling approach.
What You Can Expect
Supervision may include:
Case consultation and clinical conceptualization
Diagnosis and treatment planning
Clinical documentation and record-keeping
Ethical decision-making and professional boundaries
Development of clinical interventions and counseling skills
Navigating challenging clinical situations
Counselor identity and professional development
Cultural considerations and self-awareness
Licensure requirements and supervision-hour tracking
Preparing for greater independence as a licensed clinician
Supervision is collaborative and individualized. While guidance and feedback are an important part of the process, supervisees are also encouraged to think critically, explore their clinical reasoning, and develop confidence in their own professional judgment.
Individual & Group Supervision
Supervision includes opportunities for both individual and group supervision.
Individual supervision provides dedicated time to discuss your caseload, clinical questions, professional development, and areas where you may need additional support.
Group supervision provides an opportunity to learn alongside other developing clinicians through case consultation, ethical discussions, clinical exercises, professional development, and shared learning experiences.
Supervision schedules and frequency are established based on your clinical needs, direct client-contact hours, and applicable Louisiana LPC Board requirements.
Is This the Right Supervision Fit?
Finding the right supervisor matters. The supervisory relationship should provide both support and accountability while giving you room to develop your own clinical voice.
Before beginning supervision, prospective supervisees will complete a consultation to discuss:
Your current clinical setting and caseload
Where you are in the PLPC/licensure process
Your supervision needs and professional goals
Expectations for the supervisory relationship
Scheduling and supervision structure
Supervision fees and payment expectations
Whether we are a good professional fit
Interested in Supervision?
Complete the consultation request form below to tell me a little about yourself and what you are looking for in a supervisor. Supervision fees and payment expectations will be discussed upon acceptance for supervision.
Submitting a consultation request does not establish a supervisory relationship. Supervision begins after eligibility and fit have been determined and all required supervision agreements and documentation have been completed.
