This interactive pre-conference workshop is designed for educators, TRIO professionals, counselors, social workers, and school administrators who play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional and academic success.

Participants will explore the mental health needs of today’s generation through real-world context and practical, relationship-centered strategies. Drawing from experience across counseling, education, and rehabilitation settings, the session focuses on understanding student behavior through a lens of capacity, connection, and collaboration. Attendees will learn how to recognize early warning signs, respond with validation and care, and support student self-worth while working within their professional role and as part of a team.

This session includes reflective discussion, experiential activities, and practical tools that can be applied immediately in school and student-support settings.
