Meet the Team

Therapist/Consultant/SpeakerApril is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), with additional credentials as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS III). She is also the author of Moving Through Emotions: a journal designed to support emotional exploration through creative expression.
April provides individual and group counseling to pre-teens, teens, and adults, grounded in the belief that every person carries a story that shapes their current experiences. Her goal is to create a safe, affirming space where those stories can be honored, and individuals can build greater understanding, healing, and self-compassion. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, or life transitions, April walks alongside you to help move toward a more fulfilling present.
Her professional journey includes roles in inpatient behavioral health, school counseling, and teaching, as well as leadership in the field of assistive technology and rehabilitation. As the former Senior Director of Assistive Technology and Rehabilitation Services at LATAN, April combines clinical insight with innovation, helping individuals access meaningful support through both therapeutic practices and adaptive tools.
With a practice rooted in empathy, creativity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience, April is dedicated to helping others grow, heal, and reclaim their power.

Late Cancellation / No Show:
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule a therapy appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in an $85 late cancellation fee.
